Our Childen’s Program develops three training domains; Values Training, Mental Training, and Physical Training. We utilize games and drills that are fun so that half the time the kids don’t even realize they are learning self-defense and discipline. We have striking classes (Boxing/Muay Thai), grappling classes (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Submission Wrestling), and takedown classes (Wrestling/Judo). Kids may participate in one, two, or all three programs.

Get in shape with our Thai Boxing program. It combines plyometrics and cardio drills with Western Boxing’s punches, and Muay Thai’s kicks, knees, and elbow strikes. But it doesn’t stop there. Being able to defend and counter these types of attacks is even more important whether in the ring or in a self-defense or street defense situation. Our comprehensive Striking program covers it all!
Vanguard Gym provides daily classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), also known as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and Submission Grappling. BJJ is the devastatingly effective ground fighting style which incorporates the takedowns of Judo with escape, control, and submission ground techniques.
Modern Day Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) contests are growing in popularity. The Ultimate Fighting Championship has grown from a no-holds-barred cage match, to the sanctioned respected venue where professional athletes meet to test their skills against each other. This type of training is not for everybody, but if it is something you want to challenge yourself with, you won’t find a better team/program to prepare you for the rigors of the cage.
Tactical training at Vanguard Gym is done with our Complete Combative Tactical Program. This type of training is held only for Law Enforcement, Military, and Government personnel on conducted on only a unit level after a thorough review of the unit’s RoE, RUF, and Force Continuum Model. Weapons, weapon retention, transitions, and all manner of tactical considerations are covered for all ranges of combative engagements.
CrossFit Kids enhances a child’s motor skills by teaching better movement and cognitive skills through engaging children to think about their movement, count their reps, remember the sequences, and work towards goals. CrossFit Kids augments a child or teen’s involvement in sports by incorporating strength training and conditioning to make our CrossFit athletes better athletes at any sport.
